I'm Julia Caird- highly specialist Speech & Language Therapist, with 13 years clinical experience and 10 years working in NHS Children's Services.
After moving from London to live by the sea in Hastings with my family, I am now working independently across East Sussex and online with children ranging from 2 years old to 18.
I provide an empathetic, non judgemental space for you to share any concerns you have about your child's communication, and can work to support their nursery or school too if needed. I am experienced in working with children who present with delays in talking, sensory seeking behaviours, stammering, low confidence, social communication difficulties and specific difficulties with language.
I do not work on specific speech sounds, or elocution. I am neurodivergent myself, and my practice does not focus on behavioural conformity, instead I collaborate with families to develop personalised neurodivergent- affirming ways of being that support well- being.
